Meeting with Maran HaGaon HaRav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv Shlita, Deputy Health Minister R’ Yaakov Litzman discussed the ongoing rift between Magen David Adom and United Hatzolah. Also present was HaRav Azriel Aurbach.

Litzman told Maran Elyashiv that he is in the midst of formulating an agreement that he believes will be deemed acceptable to both side and bring an end to the ongoing feud. He explained the agreement will address a number of cardinal issues, including MDA’s adherence to the laws of shabbos in its dealings with UH volunteers.

Rav Elyashiv reportedly gave Litzman a bracha, wishing him continued success in his efforts on behalf of the tzibur.
