Merger in the Works Between Right-Wing Parties

Opposition MK (Ichud HaLeumi) Yaakov Katz, who heads the party, has responded positively to an offer from Minister (Bayit HaYehudi) Rabbi Dr. Daniel Hershkowitz regarding a possible merger between the two right-wing parties, with the latter being a member of the coalition government. Ketzaleh (Katz) explains that at present, his party is involved with increasing efforts to reverse the harsh decree, the cessation of construction, impacting some 300,000 residents of Yehuda and Shomron.

Hershkowitz is interested in a possible merger, to join forces against the common foe, the decree, adding if such a move is actualized; the parties would hold joint primaries.

Katz mentioned a number of months ago that he views such a merger as a natural move towards strengthening the right-wing camp and advancing its agenda.
