A bill authored by MK (Ichud HaLeumi) Prof. Aryeh Eldad being dubbed the Shalit Bill was defeated in its preliminary reading in Knesset on Wednesday.

The bill calls for preventing visits to terrorists imprisoned in Israel for as long as an Israeli citizen is being held prisoner by terrorists and being denied visitations including representatives of the International Red Cross. The bill was defeated in a 67-18 vote. (Yechiel Spira – YWN Israel)
