Chareidi Child Seriously Injured by a Bus

mda.jpgA 10-year-old chareidi child heading to talmid torah was struck and seriously injured by a bus traveling in the public transportation lane on Golda Meir Boulevard in Jerusalem in the area of the Tamir Hall. Hatzolah responders found the child on the roadway with an obvious head injury.

As of the early evening hours on Tuesday, the parents have not been located and no one seems to be aware of parents searching hospitals or checking with police regarding the child. Since the child was not struck in a residential area, or near a talmid torah, authorities have yet to establish the area where he lives or attends school.

His first name is believed to be Asher or Aryeh, and he appears to have a brother named Yosef Chaim and authorities believe his last name is Toledano. This information is based on articles found on the child. The child remains in an ICU in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in the capital, in critical condition. His condition took a turn for the worse during the late afternoon hours.

Anyone with information is urged to phone the Zaka dispatcher at 1220 or the Hatzolah at 02-500-20-20.

UPDATED: The parents of the boy struck by a bus in Yerushalayim on Tuesday morning were located a short time ago due to the efforts of Hatzolah and Zaka.

It appears the child is 8, not 10 as believed earlier. They parents are currently on their way to Hadassah Hospital where the child remains in critical condition.

  1. The bus drivers in Israel always apear to be in a rush. They always miss people by inches. Im not saying in this particular case that it was was someones fault and not the other. Im just saying they should be more careful. May the boy get a full refuah shleimah!

  2. This Golda Meir Boulevard was designed by a drunken idiot.

The buses go the wrong way. When a person crosses halfway across street and looks to his right like he should, the buses are plowing down on him from his left.

A woman was seriously and permanently injured there a few years back.

The city should tear down all those weird bus stops on the wrong sides of the road-in-a-road and make in a normal place that doesn’t destroy people’s lives!
