The European Union has joined in the PA’s (Palestinian Authority) struggle to legitimize the lie, the brazen fallacy that the Muslim people have claim to Jerusalem, that the Capital of the Jewish People that was given to Am Yisrael by Hashem is to be shared with none other than Yishmael.

An effort by the EU, led by Sweden, which holds the rotating chair of the body, is calling for EU recognition of the eastern areas of Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine, seeking to create facts on the ground towards the creation of a PA terrorist state. The same EU sponsored statement conveniently fails to make any mention of Israel’s eternal right to western portions of the capital, perhaps overly concerned with the oppressed residents of the PA.

Perhaps Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s (may their memories be erased) propaganda minister said it best, that if you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth.

Within the span of a few short years, arch terrorist Yasser Arafat, who brought the world airplane hijackings, became a Nobel Peace Prize laureate. Now, the late terrorist is a martyred hero, one who fought for the rights of his oppressed people, a people that has not entity, a people that belong in Jordan but backed by the Israeli left and international community, is seeking to establish a rich history in Eretz Yisrael, one based on a fictitious past. Arafat has actually given birth to the “Palestinian People”, people without a history who are today regarded an oppressed nation.

Israel Foreign Ministry officials reacted angrily, releasing statements that the EU move undermines ongoing diplomatic efforts, explaining Israel has taken significant measures towards bringing the PA back to the negotiating table and the EU agenda is compromising those very efforts.

In truth, the concessions of Prime Minister Netanyahu and his predecessors, along with statements supporting and legitimizing the so-called “two-state solution” are to blame. We can only look in a mirror and blame ourselves, for it was Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin who took US President Bill Clintons hand and slowly legitimized Arafat and others, who were previously on America’s terror list. Today, US President Barak Obama takes this obsession to a new level, seeking to diplomatically address the Axis of Evil, Syria, Hizbullah and Iran, when in fact, the only solution can be found militarily if accompanied by a strong measure of siyata d’shmaiya.
