Omri Lahad, known more frequently as “Kippi”, 23, has been missing in the Amazons for a number of weeks. He left his friend on 26 October, and was last seen two days later on 28 October, after which his tracks vanished along the border between Colombia and Peru.
In the last email received by his friends, Kippi wrote he was heading for the Amazon region, and from there, he was planning to travel to Bolivia and Argentina. He never arrived at any of these destinations as far as his friends and family are aware.
Zaka is calling on anyone who was in this general area during the past month to get in contact with officials; perhaps he/she is able to provide helpful information. Anyone with any information is urged to email [email protected].

How terribly sad that so many of our young people go wandering the earth, both geographically as well as spiritually, when, if they could only see it, all they need is in their own back yard.
#1 That is so true.
Yet hiking accidents and ‘lost on the trail’ does happen to those who are also NOT wandering the earth…..geographically as well as spiritually..
#1, I think there is something to be said about exploring the world that H”BH created. I am not saying it should be a top priority, but if one is able, to see and experience the marvelous creations and wonders that Hashem created at some point during ones lifetime has something to be said for it.
Not all those who wander are lost. Hopefully our brother will come home but regardless we can pray for his blessings and that god is with him along his path.
let us not forget out traveling prayers
May it be Your will, Eternal One, Beloved of our ancestors, to lead us in peace and direct our steps in peace; to guide us in peace, to support us in peace and to bring us to our destination in life, joy and peace.
