French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner told the media following his visit to Jerusalem and the PA (Palestinian Authority) that while he arrived pessimistic, he left the region optimistic, explaining that following his meeting with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, he learned the current stalled diplomatic process may be renewed in the immediate future. “Netanyahu is will to make concessions” he explained, adding he was unable to say just what those concessions are.
Regarding Iran, he stated the Iranians are shooting themselves in the foot by rejecting the last offer to transport enriched uranium to Russia and France.
