One must marvel at the White House’s list of priorities, making the planned construction of 900 housing units in S. Jerusalem its primary foreign policy issue, releasing stern statements to Fox News, and hinting that the construction of these units, in the Jewish capital, will indeed jeopardize Mideast regional stability.
Truth be said, one cannot just blame US President Baraka Obama, but the Darwin Award for Politics must also go to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, the Court Jew, who skillfully guides the novice US leader through the maze of political naiveté, both taking their leads from PA (Palestinian Authority) leaders, ignoring the global threats that indeed jeopardize Mideast regional stability, if not European and world stability.
Joining the White House is French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who last week echoed the fears surrounding the construction in southern Jerusalem. The French leader however adopted a moderate approach compared to the White House, calling the Gilo construction plan “regrettable” but adding it would not stop the diplomatic process.
What are painfully absent are the same audible concerns from the French leader concerning his citizen being held in terrorist captivity, Gilad Shalit. On more than one occasion he promised Mr. and Mrs. Noam and Aviva Shalit he will “do everything” possible towards obtaining his release, and undoubtedly, halting Israeli construction in the S. capital is a step towards achieving this noble goal. One fails to hear messages directed to Hamas or the PA regarding Shalit, as Paris prefers to place this matter on a back burner. There is no talk of compromising the diplomatic process or hampering peace efforts, just silence.
One may be for or against housing in Gilo, but one cannot argue with the immediate urgency the Iranian nuclear program demands. Nevertheless, the White House is speaking of “increased sanctions” but regarding Gilo, the construction of housing could topple the Oslo house of cards, expose the failed agreement for what it is, another piece of paper to be sold on the auction block of collectors in future generations.
The president’s persistence regarding the construction of homes for Jews even clashes with the recent compromising position adopted by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and serves as a glaring confirmation of the current administration’s inability to properly analyze the global scene and the threats facing the free world.
Ultimately, America will come to Israel’s side regarding Iran, if not in the media clandestinely, since it is clear to all of sound mind that the ongoing nuclear enrichment efforts in Iran cannot be permitted to continue and according to some at least, this matter is even a higher priority than the dangers posed by Israel building 900 housing units in its capital. It is also clear that at some point, even the current US administration will come to realize just how serious the Iranian threat is, and Israel’s presence will then become a welcome reality for the White House and Pentagon, as forces will join against a common foe.
For President Barak Obama, his chief of staff and his administration, the opinion polls more or less size up the success of the early days of the Nobel Peace Prize laureates administration.

Why do we have trained snipers in our military? Is it to make them walk around the arab world with a target on their backs with rules of engagement that forbid them to defend themselves or our interests?
Jews get kidnapped, and Achmaddogjihad walks around?
