As a result of a blunder, over 20 vehicles on Tuesday had their tires blown out by a checkpoint with spikes on the road near Maccabim, on Highway 443 in the Modi’in area.

Volunteers from the Yedidim (Friends) organization responded, assisting stranded motorists to remove the flat tires and then taking the tires for repair and returning them, as well as assisting in putting them back on vehicles. Most of the vehicles sustained two flat tires.
