Dismal Returns on Israel Bar Exam

There is no room for pride regarding the outcome of the latest Israel Bar Exam, with less than 60% of the future attorneys passing, earning a collective average grade of 65%.

According to statistics, 41% of those who took the exam failed, with only 1,045 of 1,772 people earning a passing grade. This signals a continuation of the alarming trend, lower grades being achieved with each exam. While most were taking the licensing exam for a first time, there are also those who were taking a second and even third exam, with this group producing a dismal success rate of 14%. Perhaps these guys should seek an alternative profession.

Among those who failed to pass the exam, voices were heard calling on the head of the bar to resign, accusing him of intentionally raising the passing grade to limit the number of new certified attorneys in Israel.
