At least six Egyptian border security officials were wounded in a standoff with Bedouin smugglers after the Egyptians confiscated cement being smuggled into Hamas-controlled Gaza.

According to reports, intelligence reports prompted a stakeout involving armored vehicles and a formidable force that was waiting for the smugglers to arrive.
