YWN-Israel has reported two incidents pointing to a sharp escalation of hostile behavior by Magen David Adom towards members of United Hatzolah. In the first case, a 28-year MDA volunteer in Dimona, Uri Abutbul, was suspended after joining UH.

The second case involves a MDA decision to cut off the pager of UH leader R’ Ze’ev Kashash pager number 52031, as was reported on Monday evening.

It appears that UH is not without resources, reporting Deputy Minister of Health R’ Yaakov Litzman has become directly involved, instructing MDA to reconnect the pager ASAP.

While the pager may be reconnected, hopefully in the immediate future, it would appear the conflict between MDA and UH is far from over.
