Sheikh Raid Salah, who heads the northern branch of the Israel Islamic Association, was convicted in the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court on Thursday of taking part in riots in Jerusalem’s Old City in 2007 as well as assaulting police.

Salah plays a major role in inciting Har HaBayis violence and regularly lectures to spread his anti-Israel message, working tenaciously to enlist the international Islamic community against Israel, focusing on obtaining total Arab control of the holy areas of Yerushalayim.
