Swine Flu Results in Closure of Jerusalem School

The non-Jewish Jerusalem HaMayan special education school located in the Ein Kerem area was closed by the Ministry of Education after a number of students were diagnosed with swine flu.

Ministry officials explain that since the case deals with a boarding school for children with unique problems, some with chronic medical conditions, the decision was made to close down temporarily.

The nationwide vaccination against the illness is underway, beginning with high-risk segments of the population, which includes students in such a school.
