Close to 200 youths took part in a 4 Cheshvan meeting in Ashdod held by missionaries working to attract children and young adults, Ladaat reports.
Yad L’Achim learned of the event, aimed at attracting youths, urging them to attend to learn how they can work towards attracting people to Yeshu in their schools and community. “If you are looking to change the world” the invitation stated, “this event is for you”.
The participants received direction, instructions on how to attract their peers towards turning to Yeshu.
Rav Sholom Dov Lifshitz, who heads Yad L’Achim, states that while Israeli society remains complacent regarding missionary activities, those committed to flipping Jews are working tirelessly to take as many yidden as possible away from a Jewish life. He added that missionary activity is against the law, but sadly, in too many cases, the law is not enforced.
The Yad L’Achim legal department filed a complaint with police, specifying the details of the above-mentioned event in the hope of bringing those responsible to justice. The rav pointed out that in the case mentioned above, the participants were all minors, under 18, and this is truly a grave situation.
