For a second consecutive week, Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon exhibits a ‘business as usual’ approach, ignoring the shabbos. Last week the minister appeared at a public event in a Cholon theater and Kikar Shabbat reports this shabbos he busied himself with the case of Israelis imprisoned in Romania for alleged illegal activities pertaining to a fertility clinic. This shabbos, the deputy minister reportedly met with family members in Israel as well as Romanian diplomatic officials.

Chareidi lawmakers reportedly contacted Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman in the hope he will instruct his subordinate and party colleague to respect the shabbos status quo.
