MK (Yahadut HaTorah) R’ Moshe Gafne remains opposed to the water surplus tax which was imposed in response to the critical nationwide water shortage, insisting it is not an acceptable solution.

In his position as chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee, Gafne is calling to suspend the water tax, at least during the winter months, insisting it places too much of a hardship on lower income families.
