Minister of Intelligence & Atomic Energy (Likud) Dan Meridor is calling for the establishment of a commission of inquiry into Operation Cast Lead towards clearing Israel’s name in the international community.
“I have faith in the army and it is my duty to protect it, its commanders and its soldiers – and the most effective tool for this is serious self-examination,” Meridor is quoted saying in the daily Haaretz.
Regarding the Goldstone Commission’s report, Meridor stated that even if the UN fact-finders were bias, reminding us that the mandate given the investigators was to probe Israeli war crimes, an internal Israeli commission addressing the findings of the Goldstone Commission could set the record straight and contribute to allaying diplomatic aggression in the world political arena.

What a stupid idea!!israel should make believe they never heard of the “animal” goldstone report. This is the most pathetic report, hamas used every dirty trick, like shooting from hospitals, from schools killing their own “loving” arab brothers that they suspected might have helped israel and they want to probe israel!!who started this war?
