Mohammad Kak (30) and Nasser Abisiyeh (22) were indicted in the Jerusalem District Court on Monday, facing charges of throwing firebombs at Jews during the yomim tovim. The defendants are both residents of eastern Jerusalem.
It appears the young Kak decided to act, to avenge his father’s actions, the sale of the family home to Jews, in 2003. This compelled him to propel firebombs at a Jewish home on Yom Kippur, resulting in a blaze. The act was indeed premeditated, planned, and the multi-count indictment charges the suspects with the manufacture of weaponry and arson. The indictment also addresses other firebomb attacks involving the two.
