Monday Morning News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


An improvised explosive device was hurled at soldiers at the Chawarah Checkpoint on Sunday night. No injuries were reported.

**A motorcycle operator was hit by stone thrown by Arabs near Maale Adumim on Sunday evening. He lost control of the vehicle and sustained light-to-moderate injuries as a result. He was transported to the trauma unit of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

**An Arab was arrested at an IDF checkpoint in the Machpelah area in Chevron after it was discovered he was concealing a knife. It was the 5th such incident in less than a week.

**7 people were injured on Sunday evening when a bus struck a number of vehicles on the Coastal Road near Shfayam. One of the injured was in moderate condition and the remainder light. They were taken to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, Katzar reports.

**Earlier on Sunday night, two Arabs were taken into custody at Chawarah Checkpoint after soldiers found they were concealing an explosive device and knives in tool boxes.

**Rock attacks against Israeli motorists at Yakir Ketana Jct in Shomron on Sunday night. No injuries.

**Egyptian security forces on Sunday intercepted a shipment containing 340kg of TNT and an unspecified number of automatic weapons heading for Hamas-controlled Gaza.

**Rock-throwing attacks against an Israeli bus near Beit Omar during the Sunday evening rush hour. No injuries.

**A Tel Aviv resident was transported to Beilinson Hospital on Sunday night due to a gas explosion in his Minakovsky Street home. The victim sustained light injuries.

**Rock-throwing attacks against Israeli motorists at Wadi Charamiya, north of Ofrah in the Benjamin Regional Council district of Shomron. No injuries.

**Massive rock-throwing reported on Gush Etzion-Chevron Road near Beit Omer shortly after noon on Monday. Damage reported to an ambulance.

**1,200 children for foreign workers are slated for deportation. Human rights activists working to prevent their expulsion.
