Mom & Child in Good Condition Despite Swine Flu Concerns

Doctors were compelled to perform a C-section for a woman who arrived in Beersheva’s Soroka Medical Center in her 37th week. She was diagnosed with swine flu and doctors decided they are left with no alternative other than to deliver the child, a son, and begin treating mom, and the baby if necessary.

Doctors explain they saved the life of the 43-year-old mother, treating her aggressively with antibiotics following child birth. Tests conducted on the woman upon her arrival showed her vital organs were beginning to shutdown, and the decision to deliver the child via C-section had to be made expeditiously, seeking to save mom’s life and save the infant as well.
