Due in no small part due to the efforts of MK (Yahadut HaTorah) R’ Menachem Eliezer Moses, Israel Police officials have announced the department will place a greater emphasis on patrolling the Har HaZeisim area in light of mounting complaints and reports of increased vandalism attacks against the holy cemetery.

MK Moses met with Public Security Minister Yitzchak Aharonovitch, during which he cited the immediate need for a greater police focus on the problematic area, which continues to fall prey to Arab attackers and vandals.

The minister promised immediate action, with an emphasis on increased protection during the Tishrei yomtov season, and added police will look into a Tzom Gedalyah attack against a youth that occurred in the area.
