If MK (Likud) Danny Danon has his way, the nation needs a patriotic boost, a restoration of national pride, and one way he feels that will contribute towards this is to begin flying the flag so to speak.

Danon has put forward a bill that will place the national symbol on the vehicles of ministers and MKs, similar to rental firms, who proudly exhibit their company logo on their vehicles. Danon feels the state needn’t be different than commercial companies, which routinely place their logo on their vehicles.

Danon feels this can only be a positive step towards boosting national pride. His bill currently enjoys support from MKs from a number of parties.

At the time of this report, YWN-Israel has not succeeded in obtaining a response from security agencies, which YWN suspects may oppose the move, which would obviously make the vehicles of elected and appointed state officials more visible to those wishing to target them.
