Speaking to Reuters, Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon responded to remarks released by Russian President Dmitri Medvedev, primarily stating that President Shimon Peres told him Israel would not attack Iran.

Ayalon stated the military option remains on the table, adding the Russian president is not authorized to speak on behalf of Israel.

Echoing Ayalon in his recent remarks was Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who indicated all options remain on the table as Iran continues to defy international sanctions by moving ahead with its nuclear enrichment program.
