Just two days after the fatal F-16 crash that claimed the life of IAF pilot Lt. Assaf Ramon z”l, an Apache helicopter gunship was compelled to make an emergency landing near Kibbutz Gonen in the Upper Galil. There were no reports of injuries.

The craft remained in an open field, under military guard, permitting technicians to make necessary repairs at the site, and the Apache took off and returned to base on Wednesday afternoon without incident.
