A ton of meat is being distributed to 160 poor families in Chadera and neighboring areas. Orna Chaim of Kibbutz Givat Chaim M’uchad is responsible for the major chessed undertaking under the auspices of the Ahavat Rachamim non-profit, beginning at 6:00pm on Wednesday.

Deliveries are being made during nighttime hours to maintain a discretionary profile, not wishing to embarrass recipients. Yaakov Bachar explains that permitting recipients to maintain their dignity is no less important that assisting them, expressing his hope that the meat will assist the families in enjoying the upcoming yomtov as they should.
