Israeli Potato Habits

An Avshalom polls shows that Israelis do enjoy potatoes. The poll shows 61% of Israelis buy potatoes at least once weekly. 28% of potato buyers insist the color is the man determining factor while 24% are more interested in size and 20% the shape. Interestingly, only 3.7% admit to price being a major factor.

47.6% prefer the red-skinned potatoes for making chips (fries) while 47.7% prefer the regular skins for frying and baking. 50% of buyers prefer loose potatoes as seen in the shuk while 37.7% prefer closed bags as is more commonly seen in supermarkets.
