Mekorot Water Authority officials report that the Netufa 6 well drilling project has uncovered a water source 700-800 meters down, enough fresh high-quality potable water for a community of 50,000.

The water will be directed to the national reservoir adding that while it does not bring water concerns to an end, it does permit breathing a temporary sigh of relief.
