The editor of the prestigious Swedish Aftonbladet Newspaper responded to mounting accusations, insisting he is neither a “Nazi or anti-Semite” in response to the report published in which the IDF is accused of murdering PA (Palestinian Authority) residents to use their organs in an illegal organ marketing operation.
Editor-in-Chief Jan Helin slammed Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman’s statements, accusing Sweden back to the WWII era. He accuses Lieberman and supporters of taking advantage of the situation to promote their own agendas.
Helin now adds that the report is based on claims and allegations, admitting the newspaper lacks conclusive evidence to document the unforgivable accusations. He defended the correspondent even though he did not seek a response from the IDF, explaining the article reflects the view of the reporter – further adding it is not a news report.
Helin points out that he has many Jewish friends, and rejects all attempts to label him a Jew-hater. He also states “I was naïve for thinking Israel was a democratic country”.

why is it that all haters have jewish friends that they hide by. now the jew hate claims to be the victim and was naive. Mr Helin you are a hater but now you hate jews and hide under the jewish friends that you hate. Mr Helin jews are not naive
Why does objecting to the publication of canards made by Arabs that have nothing to lose by lying have anything to do with the democratic character of Israel. Jan Helin’s response is just classic Anti-Semitism, as well as sheer stupidity.
On the contrary, I often question the democratic and mental health of the State of Israel when it grants greater protections and rights to its disloyal Arab “citizens” than to the Jewish nationals that risk their lives to protect it.
sammygol, BlueThread, elmwood — Your comments are incendiary and over the top.
Have you any clue as to what the Swedes did for Yidden in WWII – or that Raoul Wallenberg was a Swedish diplomat, working on the record and sanctioned by his government when he saved so many Yidden in Hungary by giving them Swedish travel documents.
At least give the Aftonbladet an opportunity to admit their journalistic error and right this matter – before you open up your big mouths and accuse them of being Naziis.
Demanding an apology is undemocratic??? Is the demand of an apology any less a free-speech right than the publication of this unsubstantiated, slanderous, Arab propaganda???
