Supporters of former Shas minister, R’ Shlomo Benizri are seeking to gain momentum, calling upon President Shimon Peres to pardon Benizri before he begins his jail term on September 1st.

On the day he reports to Massiyahu Prison, hundreds of vehicles are expected to take part in a solidarity motorcade, flying red ribbons to decry the “blood libel” against the former senior Shas official. 

Thousands turned out for aThursday night solidarity kenos with Benizri attended by senior Shas officials.
