Veteran Yesha activist and resident Bentzi Lieberman is just one of many right-wingers questioning why Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu felt himself so compelled to publically admonish his vice premier, Minister Moshe (Boogie) Ya’alon for his remarks, labeling the radical left-wing Peace Now organization and the “elitist Israelis” a “virus”.
Lieberman and others question why Netanyahu did not feel equally compelled to release a statement of condemnation when academic and others affiliated with the left-wing labeled “settlers” a “virus”, citing well known cases in which prominent members of Israeli society called for eradicating residents of Ofrah, at times labeling settlers “Nazis”, but the right-wing leader remained silent.
Today however, the leader of the nation, who was elected under a right-wing platform felt compelled to admonish his senior minister and stress his remarks are not in any way reflective of government policy.
Ya’alon has since met with the prime minister to clarify his remarks and to discuss a number of other pertinent policy matters.

Until the NY State Senate fiasco I used to think its only Israel that has such a circus govt. Now I realize that this is just normal govt at work.
