Police in Bnei Brak has warned Rav Mendel Shafran Shlita, explaining they are concerned for his safety. As such, hidden surveillance cameras are installed, he is instructed not to leave his home alone and he is now provided with security agents, Chareidim reports.
Rabbi Shafran Shlita, a prominent rav in Bnei Brak and member of Rabbi Landau Shlita’s beis din has been warned by police, who fear he is in danger. Police think a hand grenade and fireworks hurled at the building were intended for him in connection to a controversial case he is handling at present. Last week, fireworks were hurled at the building for a third time in the past month.
Police admit the hand grenade and other objects hurled at the building may also have been intended for a neighbor of the rav involved in a family dispute, but they prefer not to take chances at present, warning the rav and installing cameras around his building.
