After a tense day of roadblocks and other actions investigating reports that terrorists abducted an IDF soldier, it has been learned the reports were nothing more than Arab propaganda.

The day’s events were sparked by a female soldier reporting she witnessed two men compelling a soldier to enter their vehicle, prompting the nationwide alert. Military officials began taking headcounts on military compounds and roadblocks were established in the greater Tel Aviv area as well as along the Green Line. Making things worse perhaps were reports from the PA Ma’an news agency that an organization calling itself al-Quds Army abducted a soldier.

At the end of the day it was learned the reports were false, apparently with the well-intentioned female soldier thinking she saw an abduction when in actuality, this was not the case.
