Israel appears to remain determined regarding construction in Yerushalayim, with some senior officials releasing cautious statements signaling “progress” in bridging gaps between Jerusalem and Washington regarding construction in the capital and areas of Yehuda and Shomron.
The next big event is scheduled for 24 August, when Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will be meeting in London with US Mideast envoy George Mitchell.
According to the daily Yisrael HaYom, Israel denies reports that special envoy Yitzchak Molcho has already flown to Washington to lay the groundwork for the upcoming meeting in Europe.
