Yoav Yitzchak Wants an Indictment Against Former PM Olmert

Investigative journalist Yoav Yitzchak has petitioned the High Court of Justice seeking answers. He wishes to understand by Attorney General Menachem Mazuz has decided not to file a criminal indictment against former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in the Cremier real estate investigation. Yitzchak maintains that based on the information he has gathered an indictment is warranted.

Supreme Court Justice Edna Arbel instructed the attorney general to respond by August 26th as to why an indictment in the case is not forthcoming.

Mazuz decided he lacked sufficient evidence in the case to move ahead with an indictment. The case dates back to when Olmert served as minister of industry & trade, alleged to have received a handsome bribe in the form of a real estate bargain on Jerusalem’s exclusive Cremier Street.
