Attorney General Menachem Mazuz is expected to move ahead with a criminal indictment against former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in the coming weeks, as early as September, the daily Yisrael HaYom reports. Indictments are expected in the Rishon Tours, Talansky and Investments investigations against Olmert.
A multi-count indictment including all the investigations is likely, an indictment that will include long-time Olmert confidant Shula Zaken.
Officials in the state prosecutor’s office have begun drafting the indictment.

Given the highly political nature of “criminal” justice in Israel, it isn’t all that clear how legitimate this is. Many of the criminal charges against Israeli politicians wouldn’t be considered criminal in the United States.
“indictment” doesnt mean he is guilty, it means that there is evidence that can be explained to look as if a crime may have taken place. A good lawyer knows how to use the same evidence to make his client innocent. In israel the state run to the press to try and try the person in public!
The Israeli “justice” system being what it is, we can’t be at all sure what will become of olmert THERE, but when he is judged by the Beis Din shel Ma’ala, none of his political tricks will help him and he will have to pay BIG TIME for all the evil he has done and for all the Jewish blood that has been shed because of his warped, traif policies.
