Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman will be traveling to N. America next week for a working visit, planning to visit hospitals to observe and learn.

Litzman earned himself a place in the local media over a number of weeks, making surprise visits to hospitals around Israel, evaluating the nation’s healthcare system.

Aides explain the deputy minister wishes to travel abroad to get a look at hospitals in the United States towards bringing new and improved ideas back home.

While Litzman is a deputy minister, there is no health minister so in essence, he is a deputy minister with ministerial responsibilities.
