In a briefing before the Knesset Foreign Affairs & Defense Committee on Tuesday, Defense Minister Ehud Barak spoke of the need for Israel to accept a US regional peace plan, a plan that has not yet been presented to the parties involved, but is expected in the coming weeks. He stressed the need to move ahead with peace talks with Syria as well.
Regarding the Syrian front, the defense minister defended his position by mentioning IDF intelligence and other officials agree with him, adding military intelligence Brig.-General Yossi Beiditz reports that if a peace agreement was reached between Damascus and Jerusalem, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad would break away from the axis of evil nations including Iran.
Regarding the yishuvim throughout Yehuda and Shomron, Barak stated “settlement blocs” would remain in any future agreements signed. In addition, he stated a solution to PA demands for the right of return must be found, but outsides the borders of the State of Israel.

Why play this game of pretend?
“Peace between arab and Jew? There is not peace between arab and arab!” ~ R. Kahane (of blessed memory)
Could someone please remind me, this Defense Minister Barak, – he is defense minister for WHAT country??? Syria? Iran? “Palestine”? – definitely could NOT be Israel, since every one of his positions is terribly against Israel’s interests. Are the arabs, or obama, paying him off??? His personal finances should be investigated!!! Barak – Bad for the Jews!!!
it looks its time for a new defence minister or just maybe the government is purposely sending mixed signals just like the Obama administration .
The only line Barak needs to be in is the unemployment line!
So, When will Dov Hikind or other activists start Rallies In Support Of Israel/Jewish Housing in Erets Yisroel versus Obama public pressure tactics? Maybe Israel is afraid they have NO SUPPORT for their lonely heavily pressured interests!
