US President Barak Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have done their part to set the stage for the international community to condemn Israel regarding the planned construction of housing units for the Jewish sector in the Shimon HaTzaddik neighborhood of the capital.
In a brazenly authoritative fashion, the senior American officials continue to demand a halt to construction, construction in the heart of the nation’s capital, expecting the Government of Israel to heed their demands, which are contrary to national interests. The objections over the eastern Jerusalem construction only compound the mounting anti-Israel sentiment resulting from the White House’s objections over construction throughout Yehuda and Shomron, with President Obama peddling his mantra that “settlements are a stumbling block to peace,” supported by his secretary of state, who in her role as First Lady did her utmost to advance the PA (Palestinian Authority) agenda, now empowered to put the screws to leaders in Jerusalem.
Acting on cue, Jordan has also condemned Israel’s actions, which the Hashemite Kingdom’s leaders feel are not in the interest of advancing diplomatic efforts in the region while the Fatah Assembly of PA moderates convenes in Bet Lechem to reject recognition of Israel as the Jewish Homeland.
Egypt has joined in of course, maximizing its new role as a major US ally in the region, with President Hosni Mubarak preparing for his upcoming visit to the White House following President Obama’s address to the international Muslim community from Cairo.

wake up smell the coffee, its only going downhill from now.
We need to beg the Ribono Shel Oilom for the Geula Shleima, and that the thoughts and plans of our enemies and detractors should be nullified.
It’s only a matter of time until Bibi crumbles under the pressure.
the only ones that will be screwed will be the obamas and his secretary of state and there arab freinds like jordan and egypt
The irony. Israel should adopt Jordan’s attitude to the “palestinians”: Kick them out and never let them back in.
You call this “change?” The more things “change,” the more they stay the same.
I am no adam gadol, but I see a repetition of “hafach libam lisnoe amoe, lehisnakel ba’avodov” that Dovid Hamelech describes as having happened in Egypt of old. Only now it’s happening in moden-day USA. We as Jews cannot be complacent that 1) it’s not for the same reasons now as then, and 2) that it won’t be followed by “va’yemarraru es chayeihem ba’avodah kashah…” now as then.
It’s not too late. However, we must stop our intentional dive into assimilation, both literal and figurative. Only then will Hakadosh Boruch Hu stop the goyim from turning their rhetoric into concrete action.
