Israel: 12-Year-Old in Cardiac Arrest Due to Swine Flu

Swine flu and growing concerns continue to maintain a prominent place in the Israeli news scene. Today, Monday, a 12-year-old girl described as having “chronic medical issues”, went into cardiac arrest, apparently the result of systemic collapse resulting from the illness.

The girl was admitted to Schneider Children’s Hospital some 10 days ago, and was released after receiving treatment for swine flu. It appears that at some time on Monday morning, she went into cardiac arrest in her home, was resuscitated and hospitalized once again. She remains in an ICU at this time.
