16 arrests were made in the shabbos afternoon Eida Chareidis protest at the Karta parking lot in Yerushalayim.
Some 150 protestors succeeded in reaching the entrance to the parking lot, with many beginning to block the street in the area. Police moved in quickly and began clearing the street, making the arrests. One policeman sustained very light injuries.
Police view the protest as an escalation as the chareidim appear willing to be arrested for their cause, the opposition to city-sponsored chilul shabbos.
An insignificant counter protest of some 20 secularists took place opposite the Eida protest.

The Zionist call their state a “Jewish State” and they act like they represent Judaism, but when it comes to one of the most important things in Judaism, Shabbos they fight, beat and arrest the Chareidim who really represent Judaism just so they can keep their parking lot open on Shabbos and desecrate Shabbos. The Zionist have no right to speak in the name of Judaism. They should not call their state a Jewish state but rather a Zionist State!
and this protest increased the amount of people keeping shabbos or caused more chilul shabbos as police and journalist come out.
And these wonderful “tzadikkim” who are throwing eggs and calling the police the worst kinds of names have no right to “represent Judiasm.” They certainly don’t represent any kind of Yiddishkeit I know of. I defy any of them to tell me how many Jews have become frum because of their actions.

Evidently da’as torah who is greater then even you decided the protest will do just that. There are plenty of Tshuvos in the sefarim of Ga’avid Wiess Ztz”l Addressing these issues from a halchik stand point. Being that he was the former Av Bies Din of the Eida there is a high percent chance thats where their modern day p’sak came from.
