This erev shabbos, in addition to the weekly violent left-wing anti-government protest, there will be a solidarity presence hailing the IDF soldiers.

Residents of the Arab village of Na’alin are supported weekly by left-wing Israelis and foreigners who come to pelt soldiers with rocks and objects to protest the security barrier in the area.

The solidarity event organizers plan to distribute sweets and other items in a showing of appreciation to soldiers. Organizers also add they hope there will not be a need to continue, expressing their optimism that the “radical left” will stop their actions which are contrary to Israel’s security interests and in many cases, literally harm soldiers.
