Health Ministry officials on Monday night announced a man in his 50s has been admitted to Shaare Zedek Medical Center with a diagnosis of swine flu, listed in serious condition.
The report adds the patient has underlying conditions which may have contributed to his current exacerbated condition including profound obesity and diabetes.
An Eilat man in his 30s died of the illness on motzei shabbos becoming the first fatality in Israel. A number of others remain hospitalized in serious condition around the country.
