Mr. Noam Shalit, the father of captive soldier Gilad, met on Monday in Knesset with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
The meeting was unplanned, but the two met as an art exhibit of Gilad’s from when he was 11, “When the fish and shark first met” was being exhibited. Mr. Netanyahu met privately with the soldier’s father, for about ten minutes.
Following the brief meet, Mr. Shalit declined comment but government officials continue to release messages that efforts to obtain the soldiers release are ongoing as are efforts to arrange for a visit by a representative of the International Red Cross.
