A premature infant pronounced dead in a Nazareth hospital awakened ahead of being buried.
According to the report, the pregnant woman went into labor, prompting her husband to take her to a Nazareth hospital. The couple resides in a village in the Afula area. The mother gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, estimated to be 21-22 weeks. They were both pronounced dead. The mother remained in hospital while the father took the bodies for burial. The father explains as he was washing the bodies, he thought he saw signs of life from the girl, summoning a physician who summoned MDA. The two were rushed to Ha’emek Hospital in Afula, where the boy was pronounced dead and the girl listed in serious/unstable condition suffering from severe hypothermia.
An investigation is underway.
