Settlers in response to announced plans to remove residents of unauthorized outposts are signaling they may file lawsuits against IDF Yehuda and Shomron Division Commander Brig.-Gen. Noam Tivon and Civil Administration Commander Brig.-Gen. Yoav Mordechai.
 
In response to the expected legal action against senior officers, the IDF has already announced it will undertake the legal defense of the officers. Some military officials view the potential lawsuits as a nuisance and frivolous, adding whatever the case may be, the senior commanders cannot be held responsible for government policy.
