A request filed by MK (Ichud HaLeumi) Dr. Michael Ben-Ari to hold a march in the southern Bedouin community of Rahat has been approved by police. The event is set to take place on Sunday under heavy police protection.

The Bedouin community has announced it views the event as a provocation, and warned if antagonized, residents of the area will respond appropriately.

In addition, Israel Police Southern District Chief Yochanan Danino has indicated he may approve a Bedouin community request to hold a counter march.
