Tuesday Afternoon News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


Authorities apprehended a 6 lbs bomb attached to a motorcycle at the 443 Checkpoint earlier in the week, thereby preventing what police report would have been an underworld-connected bomb attack in the capital.

**Police are planning to indict Nazareth Illit Mayor Shimon Gafso (Yisrael Beitenu) and Deputy Mayor Adi Barko for allegedly pressuring city council members Simion Brown to step down to permit another person, who is aligned with them, to fill the slot.

**Police working tenaciously to apprehend thieves who have broken into and robbed 3 Tel Aviv eatery safes. N. Tel Aviv police indicate they have a lead in the case.
