Breslov Chassidim Injured by Arabs in Rock Attack in Shomron

mda2.jpgFour Breslov chassidim, residents of Elad, entered the Arab village of Kifl Harris near Ariel in Shomron at about 1:00AM to daven at the kever of Yehoshua Bin Nun.

As they left the village, they explained to police they were attacked by locals who hurled large rocks at their vehicle. One of the group was moderately injured, but his condition deteriorated and he was later listed in serious condition in Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah with a head injury. Trying to continue driving to escape the mob, the vehicle smashed into a wall. The seriously injured man was transported to hospital by helicopter.

The others were less seriously injured. During the transport, authorities realized one of the group was missing and they began a search, fearing the worst, but Baruch Hashem they learned he managed to flee the scene unharmed.

Police are investigating the incident, indicating there is an element of doubt regarding the legitimacy of the story, explaining the damage to the vehicle may be the result of an accident. Police state there are no signs on the vehicle of being hit by rocks and they suspect the accident may have been the result of irresponsible driving, nothing more.

Authorities add the four were not permitted to enter the PA autonomous area as per the ban on doing so issued by the IDF’s Central Division commander. Occasionally, mispallalim are permitted in the village after arrangements have been made with the IDF.

  1. The IDF and police have already publicized clearly that there was no rock attack. These guys were driving wildly and recklessly and went off the road due to their own reckless driving. They then tried to cover it up by claiming Arabs had thrown rocks at them.

This was written already this morning in Haaretz, Ynetnews. and even Arutz Sheva.

  2. “indicating there is an element of doubt regarding the legitimacy of the story”

Why is this “news” the day after it’s already been reported in the Israeli press? Get with it, YWN!
