Ben-Eliezer Concerned Over America’s Forgiving Policy Towards N. Korea

Some senior Israeli officials are concerned over America’s blind eye policy vis-à-vis N. Korea’s brazen policy concerning its nonconventional weapons program. Industry & Trade Minister Ben-Eliezer, a retired IDF brigadier-general and former defense minister expressed concerns over the weekend over America’s burying her head in the sand as N. Korea continues its ‘in your face’ policy.

Regarding Iran, he stated “From my perspective, Iran’s nuclear weapon is a reality but the world continues playing a game…in the morning, there are UN sanctions against Iran and in the afternoon, over 1,000 European companies are dealing with Iran”.

He quickly added that nevertheless, Israel should not place herself at the forefront of the opposition, explaining Iran threatens moderate Arab states in the region as well as American and EU interests. If Israel is compelled to address the Iranian issue, he stated Jerusalem has the means.

The Labor party-affiliated minister stated Israel must cease the opportunity and work with moderate Arab nations to separate from the Palestinians and resolve the Iranian threat, as quickly as possible.

  1. One person’s “burying their head in the sand”, is another’s “ignoring the baby.”

Stuff is going on behind the scenes regarding both Iran and N. Korea. There are lines that have already been drawn.

“cease the opportunity”? Don’t you mean “seize the opportunity”?
